The New York Post reported that August Alsina, the ex-boyfriend of Jada Pinkett Smith, was spotted laughing at jokes made by comedian Chris Rock about his former flame and her husband, Will Smith.
Alsina and Pinkett Smith's relationship has been the subject of much speculation and controversy over the years. The two were rumored to be romantically involved while Pinkett Smith was still married to Will Smith, and the rumors were further fueled by Alsina's public comments about their relationship in 2019.
Chris Rock made several jokes about the situation, including one about Pinkett Smith "wanting to have her cake and eat it too" and another about Will Smith being "too nice" to confront Alsina about the alleged affair. According to witnesses, Alsina was seen laughing and enjoying the jokes.
A source told The Post. “He thought it was not only funny but truthful. That was the best part for him.”
We, at the AOA Podcast, thought it was pure genius for Chris Rock to sit on his thoughts for nearly a year and unload on Will Smith durin his LIVE Netflix comedy special, "Selective Outrage," for which he was reportedly paid $40 million.
During the show, which was broadcasting live from Jada's hometown of Baltimore, Rock repeatedly called Smith a bitch, saying, “Everybody in the world called him a bitch. Everybody. Everybody. And who’s he hit? Me. A n#&$@ he know he could beat. That is some bitch-ass shit.”
“None of us have ever been interviewed by the person that cheated on us, on television. None of us,” Rock said during his special, “Like, ‘Hey, I was sucking somebody else’s dick. How did that make you feel?”
Chris Rock also said that he reached out to Will Smith when word of Jada's affair started to surface, but that Will never returned the call.
